If there's one thing that we noticed about Ahsoka, it's the fact that the Star Wars series introduced two formidable villains. Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati have already showcased their proficiency in wielding mysterious orange lightsabers and are actively aiding Morgan Elsbeth in her relentless pursuit of the elusive Grand Admiral Thrawn. However, a hidden detail connecting them hints at a looming disaster.
A keen-eyed Reddit user, well-versed in Norse mythology, unearthed a striking similarity between these new villains: their surnames are linked to mythological wolf brothers, the offspring of the fearsome Fenrir. Sköll, one of these brothers, relentlessly chases the Sun, symbolized by the goddess Sól riding her chariot across the sky, while Hati pursues the Moon, represented by the god Máni in his chariot. The chilling prophecy suggests that during Ragnarök, the mythical end-of-days, both Sköll and Hati will finally capture and consume the Sun and Moon.

This revelation alone is unsettling, but when coupled with the fact that Shin and Baylan are traversing the galaxy in pursuit of Thrawn, as indicated by the credits spanning numerous iconic Star Wars planets, it raises concerns of impending catastrophe. Could their quest to find Thrawn inadvertently trigger an apocalyptic event, potentially leading to the destruction of entire planets?
The interplay between Norse mythology and the Star Wars narrative adds an intriguing layer of foreboding to Ahsoka. As the series unfolds, fans are left to speculate about the dire consequences that may unfold with the involvement of these ominous characters, potentially altering the fate of the galaxy itself.
Baylan Skoll is played by the late Ray Stevenson who was honored at the end of Ahsoka Episode 1. Although Stevenson was able to finish working on the Star Wars show, he would not live long enough to see the first two episodes get their premiere on Disney+.
The official title for Ahsoka Episode 3 has not yet been announced. The third episode is already scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
