In about a day, fans are about to see the final fight of Clone Force 99 against the Empire in Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3. The group will rescue Omega from a remote Imperial science lab at Mount Tantiss. From a young clone who just discovered the galaxy beyond Kamino, Omega is now facing her own challenges, being forced to serve the Empire’s medical testing on other clones. With this change, the character’s voice actor, Michelle Ang, reveals how Omega has grown over the years.

Almost three years after the animated series premiered, Omega is now far different from the young girl fans first met. Now, The Bad Batch Season 3 will see Nala Se’s medical assistant being separated from the Batch, which she does in her own will, believing not doing so will put everyone she loves in danger. For Ang, this move is a “pretty big call for a young character” like her, showing how much her character has grown just after the end of the second season.

“It shows that Omega's starting to understand the complexities of the world and is willing to stand in the face of danger for what she knows is the right thing to do,” she told Star Wars.

With all the things Omega has gone through and bravely faced, the young character will show her newfound confidence, which Ang said makes the “stakes so much higher.” But despite her young age, the kid’s belief will never fade.

“It's that idea of that [youthful] confidence despite the stakes that is interesting,” Ang continued. “She's gone through some tough things, but it hasn't ever been bleak. She still has all these really gung-ho ideas.”

Michelle Ang Teased a ‘Darker’ Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3

Now that the Empire has held the galaxy in its full grip, Ang teased that the upcoming The Bad Batch Season 3 would be “darker” compared to its previous two seasons. The New Zealand actress admitted that she had already watched a few episodes of the last season, and what surprised her was how tense it felt.

“It’s suspenseful,” she revealed.

Ang continued that the final episodes would put fans on the edge of their seats and make them uncomfortable, making it far different from the previous seasons. She saw this move as a departure from how they did the first and second installments, adding that they somehow “dropped the audience straight into the tough stuff.”

What is Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 about?

The Bad Batch Season 3 will pick up where the previous season left off. Despite still reeling from the death of Tech, Clone Force 99 will do its best to save Omega from the Imperial lab after being kidnapped by the Imperial scientists. So, to rescue her, the group will be testing their limits and mustering everything they have learned to face the Empire.

You can read the synopsis below:
