Star Wars: The Acolyte introduced several new planets, Ueda, Olega, Brendok, and Khofar, in its first four episodes. However, compared to these new worlds, which have been formally introduced with title cards, the recently released Episode 6, titled Teach / Corrupt, featured a seemingly new but familiar planet that is only called “unknown.” As its atmosphere and terrain match the look of Ahch-To, this mysterious planet seemingly hints at a sequel trilogy connection and origins of the Sith.

The Acolyte Episode 6 saw Osha (Amandla Stenberg) on an unknown planet with Qimir (Manny Jacinto) after Mae (Stenberg) switched their places and disguised herself as her twin sister to join Jedi Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae) in the previous episode. As Qimir enjoyed the waters and the views of this rocky island, viewers couldn’t help but liken it to Ahch-To, where Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) exiled himself in J.J. Abrams’s Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens and Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi.
This place looks like a home for Qimir, a primary base of his operations away from the galaxy, as seen when fixing his broken Sith helmet. But aside from being Luke’s home planet during the New Republic Era, Ahch-To also has a cave where Rey (Daisy Ridley) is almost tempted to join the dark side. And if The Acolyte’s mysterious planet is indeed Ahch-To, it may be the same cave that has lured Qimir to be a Sith.

Star Wars: The Acolyte Episode 6’s Unknown Planet Also Similar to Bal'demnic
If this unknown planet is not Ahch-To, it may also be Bal’demnic, a key world from Star Wars Legends. Bal’demnic is known for its rocky tropical islands, giant rock cliffs, pristine beaches, and vast azure oceans. But behind its unique beauty, a sinister event happens in this place. It is where Darth Plagueis killed his master, Darth Tenebrous.
Bal’demnic is also famous for its rich cortosis mines. In The Acolyte Episode 6, Qimir explained to Osha the use of cortosis and its benefits when fighting against Jedi. There’s also major evidence that this unknown planet could not be Ahch-To: its wildlife.
The new episode features little creatures on the planet. Though they look like Thala-sirens on Ahch-To, they may not be related. Ahch-To’s notable creatures, like Lanai (aka the Caretakers) and the Porgs, are also not seen here.
Whether this unknown planet is something Star Wars fans already know or an entirely new one, it may have a connection to the Sith’s origins. After all, the show is giving new insights into the early Sith, given that the villains are known to be extinct a hundred years before Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace takes place.
The Acolyte Episodes 1 to 6 are available on Disney+, and new episodes are set to release every Tuesday.
