After Osha (Amandla Stenberg) and Qimir's (Manny Jacinto) awkward scene on the Unknown Planet, where Mae's (Stenberg) twin sister saw the Stranger naked after going for a swim, fans started shipping the two and even coined the name "Oshamir." At the time, showrunner Leslye Headland revealed that it was "so clear" what was happening between them. So, to add more evidence to this, the finale saw the duo holding hands while looking at the distance, seemingly waiting to see what the future has in store for them. As viewers wait to see their romance's development, Jacinto teases more of Oshamir's dynamics in the potential Star Wars: The Acolyte Season 2.
Disney+ has not yet renewed The Acolyte for a second season, but many are hopeful that the show will return to resolve the many loose ends left hanging by the first set of episodes. Of course, they also want to see how things will develop between Qimir and Osha. As Jacinto understands what fans want, they can be confident that they will see more of Oshamir in the future.
"That's something that people, I think, have been yearning for in this genre, or at least in this IP, and I love that people are honing in on it and encouraging it," he told GQ. "So, I think people can look forward to more of that, possibly. If people want it, we can explore that in a subsequent season."
The future looks bright for Osha and Qimir after the former agrees to be his "acolyte" as she fully embraces the dark side following discovering that Sol (Lee Jung-jae) lies to her. After blaming Mae for the death of their mother, Mother Aniseya (Jodie Turner-Smith), and her coven of witches, it turns out that Sol kills Aniseya after mistaking her move to save a young Mae from fire as an attack. Fueled by their hate and anger toward the Jedi, it looks like the two will start working together for the same cause.

Will Osha and Qimir be like Kylo Ren and Rey in Star Wars: The Acolyte?
After seeing their first romantic scene together, fans can't help but liken Osha and Qimir to Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Rey (Daisy Ridley) from the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Oshamir's dynamic paralleled Reylo's love-and-hate relationship in Rian Johnson's 2017 Star Wars: Episode VII – The Last Jedi. However, though some are convinced that Osha and Qimir can be like Kylo and Rey, Headland told Collider they would be different.
"I wouldn't say I took too much from the dynamics after that because the second thing that was really important to me was that Osha never tried to turn him," she said.
Unlike Kylo and Rey, who opposed each other, Osha and Qimir are quite similar due to their shared histories. They are both former Padawans who share the same hate toward the Jedi, as evident in Osha's killing of Sol. And if Rey fails to convince Kylo to return to the light side, Osha voluntarily joins Qimir to train with him in exchange for Mae's freedom.
Now that Osha and Qimir's romance is receiving a positive reception, fans will likely see the romantic development they want from these two. From enemies, they may soon turn into lovers in the future episodes of The Acolyte when the show gets renewed.
All episodes of The Acolyte are available on Disney+.
