Star Wars RPG, which once used to be a popular tabletop game, is set to be reprinted with brand new sets of custom dice and come out to stores next month. Asmodee, the publisher of the board game, will bring out Beginner Games for all its Star Wars RPGs. This will be the first time these beginner boxes have been in print in many years.

Moreover, for those people who have been looking for the custom dice that are required to play the game properly, Asmodee plans to sell those as well. This will be a good opportunity for those Star Wars RPG players who have been looking for these in retail stores but couldn’t find them for several years.

The different beginner boxes are based on different parts of the Star Wars storylines, but cross-compatible games can also be found. All these games function on the Genesys system, which was specifically designed for Star Wars RPGs.

What are the three Star Wars RPGs about?

Released in 2014, Age of Rebellion is set during the Rebel Alliance/Galactic Empire conflict, in which you and your friends have to overcome the Empire’s vast military by completing various missions. Released in 2013, Edge of the Empire covers the Outer Rim and its rules for being a criminal or a smuggler in the Star Wars Universe. So, if you’re not much of a rule follower, then this is the game for you!

However, if you have always wanted to be a Jedi or some Force-sensitive character, then Force and Destiny is the role-playing game for you, which was released in 2019. The three Star Wars RPGs use the Genesys system, a game engine especially created for these games, so this means the game uses iconic dice and core mechanics. The Star Wars RPGs were first released by Fantasy Flight Games in 2020, but they were later discontinued and had all their licenses transferred to a subsidiary of Asmodee, Edge Studios.
