Star Wars Outlaws is one of the most exciting pieces of media set in the galaxy far, far away. Ubisoft's upcoming action-adventure game takes place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, featuring a story centered on Kay Vess, an outlaw from the Outer Rim. Now, it seems that developer Ubisoft may be launching the game sooner than what many fans were previously led to expect.
Last month, Disney shared a new Disney Parks blog stating that Star Wars Outlaws was scheduled to release in "late 2024." This statement was actually removed from the blog in question, but it still led some fans to believe that this release window was accurate considering the source of the information. Now, according to a new report, the release of Star Wars Outlaws could only be a few months from now.
Insider Gaming recently reported that Ubisoft is targeting to release Star Wars Outlaws in the first half of this year. If accurate, this means that the game could launch no later than the end of June 2024. The report also mentioned that Ubisoft is aiming to launch Assassin's Creed Codename Red in the second half of 2024.
Ubisoft hasn't officially announced an exact release date for Star Wars Outlaws, only confirming that it will launch this year. If they plan to release the game in the coming means, it would mean that the developer needs to begin revealing more details about Star Wars Outlaws soon. Ubisoft has been focused on preparing the release of games like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
Star Wars Outlaws Gameplay Details Revealed So Far
Ubisoft shared the first look at the gameplay of Star Wars Outlaws with a ten-minute walkthrough during the Ubisoft Forward showcase last June 2023. It began with something like a stealth-based scenario and Kay, together with Nix, is exploring a location that's populated by enemies. At one point, Nix can be seen distracting the enemies to help Kay get through the obstacles.

Star Wars Outlaws will be exclusive to current-gen platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and it's expected to retail for $69.99.
