When Star Wars Outlaws launches for the PC and latest gen consoles later this month, players with a Disney+ subscription will be able to acquire a special in-game item. That special item is the Nix Tail Wrappings, which features a unique blue wrapping that shows on the protagonist Kay Vess' cute companion, Nix. It's a minor cosmetic but it's a nice bonus for Disney+ subscribers.
The Nix Tail Wrappings is now available to claim, and you can get it by visiting Ubisoft's official website here. Players have until November 15, 2024 at 23.59 p.m. PT to claim this limited-time offer. You can check out the images of Nix with the Tail Wrappings below:
The special item makes us wonder if Nix will get customization options in the game. It would be cool to see players have the option to adjust the color combinations of the creature's Tail Wrappings. After all, it looks like the companion will have a major role in the story of Star Wars Outlaws, assisting Kay in different ways throughout the open-world adventure. Kay can command Nix to grab items out of reach, distract enemies, or activate switches. Nix is a Merqaal creature brought to life in Outlaws by actor Dee Bradley Baker, who performed the companion's various sounds.
The news comes just a few days after Ubisoft revealed the story packs for the season-pass owners: Wild Card and A Pirate's Fortune. The game is now available to pre-order for $69.99, and the Gold Edition, which includes the season pass alongside the regular game costs $110, so that's an extra $40 to secure the story packs. The Ultimate Edition will cost a whopping $130, and that contains the season pass and additional cosmetics.
What is Star Wars Outlaws about?
Officially announced in 2023 as a scoundrel adventure, Star Wars Outlaws is set between the events of Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. The story follows Kay, her beastie friend Nix, and droid companion ND-5, as they try to find their own success during Star Wars golden era of criminal activity.
Star Wars Outlaws is set to launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on August 30, 2024.
