Ahead of its launch later this month, Ubisoft has revealed more details on its post-launch content for its open world action adventure game, Star Wars Outlaws. As previously revealed, two upcoming story packs will be available for Star Wars Outlaws as standalone purchases or through the season pass.
One of the extra stories season-pass owners will exclusively get is called Jabba's Gambit after they meet up with the infamous galactic gangster. This mission caused a stir when outlets came under the impression that Jabba would be stuck behind an extra paywall, but Ubisoft clarified that the notorious crime lord is one of the four syndicate leaders of the base game and will be featured extensively in the main plot.
Now, Ubisoft has shared more information about the two story packs: In the first one, called Wild Card (Fall 2024), Kay Vess is hired to "infiltrate a high-stakes Sabacc tournament, but as she crosses paths with the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, she soon learns that another game is being played," according to the official blog post. This story pack also includes a cosmetic bundle called Cartel Ronin.
The second story expansion is called A Pirate's Fortune, which is confirmed to release in Spring 2025, and this story will feature Kay running into the infamous Hondo Ohnaka, who is looking to setting old scores with a ruthless gang of space pirates. Ohnaka appeared a few times in Star Wars TV shows such as Clone Wars and Rebels, and if he's anything like his animated version, you can probably expect him this charismatic, self-serving opportunist double-cross in the game's story.
At the time of this article's publication, Star Wars Outlaws is available to pre-order for $69.99, and the Gold Edition, which includes the season pass alongside the regular game costs $110, so that's an extra $40 to secure the story packs. The Ultimate Edition will cost a whopping $130, and that contains the season pass and additional cosmetics.
What is Star Wars Outlaws about?
Officially announced in 2023 as a scoundrel adventure, Star Wars Outlaws is set between the events of Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. The story follows Kay, her droid companion ND-5, and her beastie friend Nix as they try to find their own success during Star Wars golden era of criminal activity.
