From the looks of it, the people at EA have made a mistake when it comes to the Star Wars Battlefront (2015) store page. The Star Wars Battlefront series consists of first and third-person shooter games that are based on the Star Wars franchise.

Developed by DICE, Star Wars Battlefront (2015) is an action shooter video game, which was published by EA. Even though it has been a really long time since we heard any news about the franchise, EA has regularly been updating the game's storefront page to keep it fresh.

However, as it turns out, they recently accidentally used screenshots for the website that were taken from multiple mods. This mistake was highlighted on Star Wars Battlefront’s subreddit, which showed that the EA website and PC launcher were both showing screenshots that weren’t directly taken from the main game, but were actually taken from two mods that were developed by creator Spifferino.

On Reddit, a thread was created by user OpoChano, in which they highlighted that "The white Shore Trooper retexture was made by a user on Nexus Mods called Spifferino. EA also used at least one of Spifferino's screenshots of a 501st Storm Trooper texture mod." We can’t say for sure what went down at the EA office, but the pictures have definitely been taken from the modding website called NexusMods.

Some Redditors claim that this might have happened when an employee not familiar with Star Wars Battlefront googled for pictures to use on the pages. There are certainly low chances of this happening, especially considering the fact that the company would have access to plenty of locally stored photos. The modded screenshots haven’t been removed for quite some time, so you can still head on over and see them.

What happened to Star Wars Battlefront 3?

The Star Wars Battlefront series kicked off in 2004 on PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. This game, along with its sequel, gives players the chance to choose their favorite gameplay perspectives and take part in epic battles from the Star Wars franchise. Several years later, Electronic Arts rebooted Star Wars Battlefront and its sequel, reigniting the love for the franchise.

Unfortunately, after the first two games, Star Wars Battlefront 3 never made the cut and is now a part of the canceled Star Wars games that won’t be released. A Lead Designer at Naughty Dog and former Star Wars Battlefront 3 developer, Michael Barclay claimed that the game was close to being finished and was going to be epic.

It's believed that the third installment never saw the light of day because of Star Wars Battlefront 2's aggressive monetization practices. While the devs introduced plenty of free content and somehow managed to bring many players back to the game, it just wasn't enough to cover the steep cost of making Battlefront 3.
