Adam Driver recently discussed filming one of the most emotional and impactful moments in the Star Wars sequel trilogy – the scene where Kylo Ren kills Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Reflecting on the pivotal moment in the film, Driver shared his experiences and the reactions he receives from fans.

The scene in question occurs towards the end of The Force Awakens when it's revealed that Kylo Ren is, in fact, Ben Solo, the son of Han Solo and Leia Organa. Han and Chewbacca infiltrate Starkiller Base, leading to a tense reunion between father and son. Kylo tearfully expresses his internal conflict, stating that he feels "torn apart" and admitting uncertainty about having the strength to do what he must. He seemingly hands over his lightsaber to Han, only to tragically kill him instead.

Adam Driver acknowledged that fans often remind him of this poignant scene and the gravity of Kylo Ren's actions. The moment has left a lasting impact on Star Wars enthusiasts, and Driver's portrayal of the conflicted character garnered widespread acclaim.

"I remember shooting that day and it didn’t feel like that at all, obviously," he explains on Chris Wallace on CNN. "John Williams wasn’t playing in the background, and it was very emotional actually shooting it with Harrison. Harrison was so generous and contemplative. To me, that was a great moment on set, even though it was his death."

Unfortunately for Ben Solo, he wouldn't survive until the end of the sequel trilogy. Nevertheless, fans still believe that Driver could reprise his role in a Star Wars project in the future.
