The games fans have loved and feared in the Korean survival drama series Squid Game have now turned into reality. Netflix has brought the famous Red Light, Green Light, Sugar Honeycombs, and Hopscotch to life in the upcoming reality TV series Squid Game: The Challenge. And in the series’ first trailer, the streamer has also revealed its multimillion cash prize, dubbed the largest in reality TV history.

Netflix has transformed its globally hit TV series into the biggest reality competition on TV this fall. But viewers don’t have to worry as compared to the show, where several players die after losing the game; its reality version won’t be a matter of life or death. However, there will surely be a lot in the line.

The 50-second trailer begins with the familiar sound, “Mugunghwa kkoci pieot seumnida,” which Younghee, the murderous robotic doll, says in the series. It then gives a glimpse of the huge piggy bank containing millions of pot money when the scene shifts to the red-suit workers.

“Attention players,” one soldier says. “You will now compete for our biggest cash prize in reality show history.”

From there, it flashes the cash prize of a whopping $4.56 million on screen, making all the players gush uncontrollably. “You have got to be kidding me,” one says. The trailer then briefly features the games the numerous players will play when Squid Game: The Challenge begins.

Squid Game: The Challenge will see 456 players worldwide battling it all out through the different challenges inspired by the hit Korean show to win the $4.56 million cash prize. The reality TV will also introduce new games, which Netflix is yet to reveal. Of course, only one can win, and hundreds will be eliminated.

Each player will be pushed to their limits to see how far they can go. And amid the games, there will be alliances, strategies, and betrayals that are about to happen.
