Squid Game Season 3 is officially confirmed to release on Netflix on June 27, 2025, the streamer announced today. This confirms the release date leaked earlier this month. Netflix has also released a brand new poster and images for the third and final season of the global hit series, teasing "a tantalizing glimpse into the fate of the surviving players."
Picking up where the second season left off, Squid Game Season 3 is set to explore the choices protagonist Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) will make amid "overwhelming despair" as he persists with his goal to put an end to the game. As the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) plans his next step, the remaining players find their decisions leading to increasingly dangerous consequences with each round of the deadly games. Netflix teased, "This season promises to push the limits of suspense and drama, keeping viewers glued to the action."
The latest Squid Game Season 3 poster features a pink guard dragging a bloodied player toward a coffin wrapped in a pink ribbon. "Gone is the rainbow-hued track of Season 2’s six-legged pentathlon; in its place, a vividly swirling flower-pattern floor ominously foreshadows the cutthroat finale to come," Netflix shared. "The sinister silhouettes of Young-hee and her companion Cheol-su — first hinted in last season’s post-credit scene — suggest that even more brutal games lie ahead."

Will Squid Game Season 3 be the last Squid Game show?
While Squid Game Season 3 is confirmed to be the final season of the main series, this doesn't mean that the series created by writer/director Hwang Dong-hyuk is done with the franchise. In a recent interview with THR, Dong-hyuk said that there might be spin-offs in the Squid Game's future, “When we were doing season one, I was saying there was never going to be another season. And so if the time comes, and it just so happens that I’m able to come up with a character or a different story, then maybe there might be a comeback. But I’m thinking more along the lines of a spinoff.”
