Solo Leveling Episode 5 Preview Reveals Sung Jinwoo Meeting a C-Class Dungeon Boss

After finally displaying his improved abilities in the previous episode, Sung Jinwoo is about to unleash more strength in the upcoming Solo Leveling Episode 5, titled A Pretty Good Deal. Jinwoo has effortlessly defeated B-ranked monsters, and it’s now time for him to go to another level and face much tougher enemies. As the new preview stills reveal a group of hunters, Jinwoo is about to brave a C-class dungeon and meet its boss.

The Solo Leveling Episode 5 preview stills unveil the new look of Jinwoo, boasting a much stronger appearance with his new do. A group of hunters is then revealed, led by Hayato Ukyo, and by the looks of it, they’re ready to face the monsters and clear up a dungeon.

A cheerful-looking Yoo Jinho then appears, followed by the sinister appearance of Ukyo. And for the last still, Jinwoo gives a bad side-eye as he seems to feel something different while in the dungeon.

What to Expect from Solo Leveling Episode 5

Solo Leveling Episode 5 will see Jinwoo joining the group of hunters with Hayato Ukyo in the lead. They will try to conquer the C-class dungeon. As they have successfully cleared the dungeon with Jinho, Jinwoo can’t help but be suspicious of a party without a healer. Despite that, he will continue exploring the dungeon and find a cave full of mana, where the boss sleeps.

Shun joins the attack team led by Hayato Ukyo to match the numbers to conquer the C-class dungeon. The party, including fellow member Kenta Morobishi, defeats the monsters in a safe battle. Shun is suspicious of a party without a healer, but as he continues deeper into the dungeon, he comes across a cave surrounded by mana ores where the dungeon boss sleeps.

 

The anime is based on the South Korean web novel of the same name by Chugong. It was first serialized in KakaoPage in July 2016 until it was published under D&C Media’s Papyrus Label in November 2016. Yen Press licensed the novel in English. It was then adapted into a webtoon and was published in March 2018, with illustrations by Jang Sung-rak, aka Dubu. After the first season concluded in March 2020, a second season was released in August 2020. It has collected nine volumes as of August 2023. Yen Press also licensed the webtoon in English.

In addition, Solo Leveling will soon have a role-playing video game, which is now in development by Netmarble, while a K-drama adaptation is now in the works, and a spin-off webtoon called Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is scheduled to be released in 2024. A-1 Pictures also adapted the series into anime, premiering on January 4, 2024, and releasing four episodes.
