The anime adaptation of Ennki Hakari's Skeleton Knight in Another World light novel series is officially getting a second season. The official website and accounts of the fan-favorite isekai anime series announced the exciting renewal with a special teaser visual featuring the otaku-reincarnated skeleton knight protagonist Arc and a cute companion on his shoulder. The tagline of the visual reads: “I have returned once again.”
A release date hasn't been announced for Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2 yet, so expect more details and previews in the upcoming months. The first season of Skeleton Knight in Another World anime, which was animated by animation studios Kai and HORNETS, ran for 12 episodes from April 7 to June 23, 2022. Katsumi Ono directed Season 1, with Takeshi Kikuchi in charge of the script, Toru Imanishi on character designs, and Tsubasa Ito and eba on the music.

What is Skeleton Knight in Another World about?
Skeleton Knight in Another World is based on the isekai light novel series of the same title (Japanese: Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai e Odekake-chū) written by Ennki Hakari and illustrated by KeG. The series began serialization online in October 2014 on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website, and was later acquired by Overlap.
Since June 2015, ten volumes have been published under the Overlap Novels imprint. It also received a manga adaptation with art by Akira Sawano, and it has been serialized on Overlap's Comic Gardo website since February 2017 and has released 13 tankōbon volumes.
Seven Seas Entertainment, which licensed both the light novel series and the manga adaptation, shared a description for Skeleton Knight in Another World:
When Arc wakes up, he discovers that he has been transported to another world in the body of the character he was playing in an MMO. Looking like a suit of armor on the outside and a skeleton on the inside, he is the Skeleton Knight. If his identity is discovered, he could be mistaken for a monster and become a target! Arc decides to spend his time as a mercenary so as not to attract attention to himself. However, he's not the kind of man who can stand idly by when he witnesses evil acts take place right before his eyes! This isekai fantasy series about the Skeleton Knight's unintentional quest to make the world a better place has arrived!!
