The official website Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles has revealed a new key visual for Season 2 featuring protagonist Haruto Amakawa / Rio and four female characters surrounding him. The isekai anime, which is scheduled to return in October 2024, also revealed new cast members and theme song details. Aguri Onishi is performing the opening theme song, titled Auftakt; while Nanaka Suwa is performing the ending theme song, Haru Machi Uta. The details were revealed just a few weeks after the first trailer for Season 2 was released.

In June, the Seirei Gensouki's official X account revealed additional cast: Aguri Onishi as Masato Sendo, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Hiroaki Sakata, and Marika Kono as Aki Sendo. They will all be joining the returning Japanese voice cast of the anime: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Rio/Haruto Amakawa, Akane Fujita as Celia Claire, Yuki Kuwahara as Aishia.
TMS Entertainment, the studio in charge of Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles Season 1, is back to produce the animation for Season 2 with WAO World. Osamu Yamasaki is serving as both director and series composer, Kyoko Yufu is the character designer and chief animation director, and Yasayuki Yamazaki is the music composer.

What is Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles about?
Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles is based on the isekai light novel series written by Yuri Kitayama and illustrated by Riv. Hobby Japan acquired the series and published it under its HJ Bunko imprint since October 2015. The series also received a manga adaptation with art by tenkla and was serialized online via Hobby Japan's Comic Fire website from October 2016 to February 2017, but was discontinued due to the artist's poor health. A second manga adaptation, which has been serialized online via the same website since 2017, was released, and it was illustrated by Futago Minaduki.
