Netflix has officially announced the release date, which will be on March 19, of the hit Korean survival series and its new title, hinting at the intensity of the games the contenders have to go through. And compared to the previous season, the streamer promises an even bigger, larger-than-life second season.
Exactly a year after the first season’s release, Netflix revealed the return of Physical 100. The update comes from the service’s official X (formerly Twitter) page, accompanied by a new key visual that gives a glimpse of the new physically fit contenders, like the South Korean mixed martial artist Kim Dong-hyun. It also hints at a new match that will be seen in the series as they run on their respective treadmills.
That said, expect even harder challenges and intense physical showdown when Physical 100 Season 2 begins. By the looks of it, the challengers are now ready to push their limits.
Who are the cast of Physical 100 Season 2 – Underground?
So far, Netflix has yet to reveal the full list of 100 challengers who join Physical 100 Season 2 – Underground. However, it unveils a few contestants' names, like Dong-hyun, who became famous for being the first Korean UFC fighter with the highest number of wins in Korea.
It includes the judo gold medalist Lee Won-hee and the wrestling gold medalist Anthony Jung. In addition, there will also be contenders from other professions, like FBI diplomats, mixed martial arts players, police officers, soldiers, actors, and idol singers.

Physical 100 Season 2 – Underground will see a hundred contenders of different ages, gender identities, and fitness backgrounds competing in several physical challenges to determine who has the “ideal physique.” Talking about the new season, producer Jang Ho-gi said (via AllKpop) that the second installment is “inspired by the underworld, especially underground mines,” explaining its unique backdrop of a massive underground mine.
Like the first season, they will explore the meaning of “perfect physicality” and the harsh realities these contestants face to prove this idea. Hence, they will be going through more challenging quests with unexpected twists.
