Extraordinary Attorney Woo star Park Eun-Bin is now taking on the role of an aspiring singer who gets stranded on a deserted island due to an unfortunate accident.
On Thursday, Netflix has released a new teaser for Park's upcoming series, Castaway Diva, a romantic comedy about a young woman named Seo Mok-ha who drifted out onto a deserted island while on her way to Seoul for an audition to become a singer. Director Oh Choong Hwan and writer Park Hye Run, who previously worked together on Start-Up and While You Were Sleeping, will team-up once again for this new South Korean series.
Based on the footages revealed in the quick teaser trailer, it looks like Park's character will learn a lot of lessons from her struggles of trying to survive on a deserted island for 15 years, but how will she escape? Will she achieve her dream of becoming a singer? It looks like this is the kind of K-drama that will inspire fans as they watch Seo Mok-ha's incredible journey.
The teaser gives us a glimpse of her experiences on the deserted island as she is seen working hard with an intense lifestyle in the island, overcoming harsh storms, making an SOS sign on the sandy beach, and diving to search for something (food?). It's clear that she will be able to escape after 15 years and pursue her dream of becoming a diva.
Castaway Diva also stars Chae Jong-hyeop as Kang Bo-gul, Kim Hyo-jin as Yoon Ran-joo, Kim Joo-hun as Lee Seo-joon, and Cha Hak-yeon as Kang Woo-hak. Check out the official poster for the series here:
When is Castaway Diva coming to Netflix?
Castaway Diva will air on tvN every Saturday and Sunday at 21:20 (KST), but it will also be available to stream on Netflix in select regions, starting on October 21, 2023.
