HIDIVE has announced when the highly-anticipated Oshi no Ko Season 2 will begin streaming on its platform. The second season of the hit anime will exclusively stream on HIDIVE in the U.S. and Canada, as well as the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand in July 2024 as part of the streamer's Summer 2024 simulcast season. A key visual for the upcoming season was revealed at AnimeJapan 2024 last weekend.
Studio Doga Kobo will return to animate Oshi No Ko Seaosn 2, with the returning staff that includes Daisuke Hiramaki (Selection Project, Asteroid in Love) as the director, Jin Tanaka (Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, Laid-Back Camp) as series screenwriter, Chao Nekotomi (Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie opening director and storyboarder) as assistant director, and Kanna Hirayama (Selection Project, Rent-A-Girlfriend) as the character designer.
The first season of Oshi no Ko ran from April 12, 2023 to June 28, 2023 for 11 episodes, including an special 90-minute premiere, and the anime became the #1 series launch in HIDIVE’s history shortly after it premiered.

"Last year, OSHI NO KO generated not only overwhelming fan response but also countless accolades as well for its first season. Without any doubt, Season 2 will not disappoint. And fans will not want to miss a minute of it this summer – exclusively on HIDIVE!"
Outside of Japan, the anime was also streamed on iQIYI, Bilibili, and Netflix.
What is Oshi no Ko about?
Oshi no Ko anime is based on the best-selling manga series written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It has been serialized in Shueisha's seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump since April 2020, and the supernatural mystery series currently has 13 volumes with more than 15 million copies in circulation. The14th volume is scheduled to release on April 18, 2024. Yen Press is publishing the manga in English.

When a pregnant young starlet appears in Gorou Amemiya’s countryside medical clinic, the doctor takes it upon himself to safely (and secretly) deliver Ai Hoshino’s child so she can make a scandal-free return to the stage.
