After One Piece producers have teased the possible coming of a second season, fans are now more eager to know what it will be about. The series has much source material waiting to be adapted, so Netflix will never run out of stories to do. With a post-credit scene and following the series’ chronological order, adapting the first saga for its premiere season, here are the possible arcs that One Piece Season 2 will cover next.

Based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga of the same name, the anime’s first season has adapted its introductory saga, East Blue Saga. This one has six arcs alone, but it only featured the first five: Romance Dawn Arc, Orange Town Arc, Syrup Village Arc, Baratie Arc, and Arlong Park Arc, leaving Loguetown Arc unadapted. So, will the last arc make its way to One Piece Season 2?

One Piece Season 1 adapted 96 manga chapters, ending the series with the Straw Hats’ fight with Arlong and his crew and Luffy’s bounty. The series has set up its possible second-season storyline with the Baroque Works through Mr. 7. That said, there are predictions that One Piece Season 2 will adapt the franchise’s second saga, Arabasta Saga.

What arcs are in One Piece’s second saga?

Arabasta Saga has five arcs. The first is the Reverse Mountain Arc, where Luffy and his crew continue their journey to the Grand Line through Reverse Mountain. Here, they encounter a huge whale, see Laboon’s backstory, and introduce Crocus and the concept of Log Poses.

Next is the Whisky Peak Arc, which features the introduction of the group Baroque Works, its leader Sir Crocodile, Nico Robin, and Arabasta’s Princess Vivi. The third is the Little Garden Arc, where the Straw Hats flee and meet the two friendly giants, Dorry and Brogy.

It will be then followed by the Drum Island Arc. The group ends up here while searching for a doctor to cure Nami. However, the place only has two doctors, one of whom is the talking reindeer, Tony-Tony Chopper. Lastly is the Arabasta Arc, which introduces Portgas D. Ace and the concepts of Vivre Cards, the Ancient Weapons, and Poneglyphs.

But before the second saga begins, One Piece Season 2 may end the initial saga by adapting the Loguetown Arc. Before Luffy and the rest of the gang enter the Grand Line, they stop at Loguetown to resupply. As the previous season teased Alvida and Buggy’s teaming up and Smoker’s arrival, the second installment may begin here.

Has Netflix renewed One Piece for Season 2?

Barely two weeks after Netflix released One Piece Season 2, it has yet to announce a season renewal. The show is still considered fresh, so a new season announcement may not happen in a week or two.

However, with the show’s reception and popularity, there’s a big possibility that a second season will come. Marty Adelstein, CEO of Tomorrow Studios, the series production home, told Variety that One Piece Season 2 scripts are now ready. At the same time, its president revealed that it might be out a year or so after the SAG-AFTRA strike ended.
