The official trailer of the One Piece live-action series finally shared more footage from the highly anticipated adaptation. However, we still haven't seen a clear shot of Red-Haired Shanks, the man who inspires Monkey D. Luffy to become a pirate. Luckily, the cast of the Netflix show has our back as they shared a behind-the-scenes look at Peter Gadiot as Shanks.

We have only seen glimpses of Shanks in the One Piece live-action show's promotions. The teaser featured a shot of the pirate facing the Lord of the Coast while the official trailer showed the iconic moment when Shanks (with his face obscured by his hair) gives young Luffy his straw hat.

But if you were hoping to see Shanks' face, the live-action Straw Hats Pirates have an awesome treat for you. In a new video shared by the One Piece Netflix Twitter account, the cast revealed some of the photos they have taken while filming for the series. The first image they shared features Iñaki Godoy and Jacob Romero Gibson with Peter Gadiot who was filming his scenes as Shanks that day.

Can't see the image in the video? Check it out below:

It's a long-awaited picture considering that Shanks' face has not yet been seen in any of the promos. It also looks like great casting considering that Gadiot shares some similarities with the anime character. With that in mind, we can't wait to meet the live-action Shanks next month.

One Piece will star Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Although the show had been in production for several years, the premiere was delayed in favor of Eiichiro Oda's wishes to approve everything about the adaptation before it would be released. The series will finally begin streaming on Netflix on August 31, 2023.
