Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 Gets Disappointing Update From Owen Lars Actor

Owen Lars actor Joel Edgerton reveals that there are only two possibilities for Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2, either it is not happening or it doesn't include him.

The galaxy far, far away has expanded into series on Disney+ which proved to be successful that the franchise found another avenue to bring new and existing content to the fans and followers of the lore. Aside from new faces introduced in the Star Wars franchise, a familiar face made his return as Ewan McGregor suited up once more as Obi-Wan Kenobi in his own series. Whether there will be Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 remains unknown but Owen Lars actor Joel Edgerton reveals a disappointing update on the possible renewal of the series.

Obi-Wan Kenobi witnessed the return of Ewan McGregor as the titular Jedi Master alongside familiar faces from the Star Wars prequel films like Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader, Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn, Ian McDiarmid as Emperor Palpatine, and more. Among the returning actors is Joel Edgerton who plays Owen Lars, the surrogate father and step-uncle of Luke Skywalker, and he made his return in Obi-Wan Kenobi after his appearance in the prequel trilogy of Star Wars. With Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 not renewed yet, Edgerton gives a disappointing update as he reveals that there are only two options, either it is not happening or it doesn't include him. Speaking with /Film, Edgerton says:

I haven't heard. Either it's happening and they don't want me or it, I don't know, I haven't, no. The short answer is no, I haven't. And I'm not even faking that I don't know. If it does happen and I am in it, I'll probably be wearing brown, or some shade of brown. That's all I know.

However, if there will be an Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2, Ewan McGregor revealed that he already have ideas for the sequel which he shared a year ago as revealed by Deborah Chow, director of the series. Still, fans are looking forward to see more of the story of the titular Jedi master.

There are still a lot stories which the galaxy far, far away could explore is there would be Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 as it takes place in between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope which brings plenty of time to explore the characters during the times in between the two movies.
