During today's VALORANT Champions 2024 Top 4 day, Riot Games has introduced VALORANT Agent 26: Vyse, revealing her appearance, abilities, role, and release date. The new Agent was revealed after various leaks and official teasers were shared online, and now we finally get to see who broke free from the hour glass prison in Abyss. We've compiled everything revealed about Vyse here, including the action-packed cinematic trailer and the gameplay trailer that showcases all her abilities.
The cinematic trailer for Vyse is titled All Paths End Here, and it features the wind-powered South Korean Duelist Agent, Jett, as she and her teammates are up against Vyse, who's presented as a mysterious masked female villain who can manipulate liquid metal and craft them to be plant-like, with the ability to trap with metallic razorvines, deploy a reusable invisible rose that could flash to blind enemies, create an indestructible metallic wall to isolate, and disarm enemies for a duration. When is the release date of Vyse in VALORANT?
Vyse is scheduled to officially release in VALORANT on August 28, 2204 alongside the new battlepass and all the other new updates for Episode 9 Act 2: Collision. Although Vyse is "Agent 26", she is considered the game's 25th playable Agent since the VALORANT Protocol skips the mysterious Agent 8.
Just like with previous new Agents in the game, you will need to unlock her before being able to select her in your matches, and we'll get to how you can unlock her in this article, but before that, let's go over her set of abilities.
Vyse's Abilities in VALORANT
Vyse is the latest Sentinel Agent, bringing a fresh twist to the defensive role, challenging how players approach space control and aggression. Designed to counter reckless Duelists, she can create moments for self-capitalization and punish over-aggression with her deadly toolkit. Her abilities are about trapping enemies and isolating them from their teammates, then inflicting serious damage once separated.

Arc Rose (E)
EQUIP an Arc Rose. Target a surface and FIRE to place a stealthed Arc Rose, or ALT Fire to place the Arc Rose through it. REUSE to blind all players looking at it. This ability can be picked up to be REDEPLOYED.
Shear (Q)
EQUIP filaments of liquid metal. FIRE to place a hidden wall trap. When an enemy crosses, an indestructible wall bursts from the ground behind them. The wall lasts for a brief time before dissipating.
Razorvine (C)
EQUIP a nest of liquid metal. FIRE to launch. Upon landing, the nest becomes invisible. When ACTIVATED, it sprawls out into a large razorvine nest which slows and damages all players who move through it.
Steel Garden (X)
EQUIP a bramble of liquid metal. FIRE to send the metal erupting from you as a torrent of metal thorns, JAMMING enemy primary weapons after a brief windup.
How to unlock Vyse in VALORANT?
New VALORANT Agents are unlocked through the game's Progression System introduced in Episode 7. To unlock Vyse, players must participate in the 28-day event tied to the new Agent's release and earn enough XP during the event period. When Episode 9 Act 2 launches on August 28, players will be able to unlock her.
Players can also unlock past agents by purchasing them from VALORANT's in-game store for 1,000 VP or 8,000 Kingdom Points.
