The Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy collaboration is on the fast track and we’re all for it. With the production of Deadpool 3 in full swing, fans are eagerly waiting to feast their eyes on that beauty. While the movie hasn’t even been released yet, fans are already wondering what comes next for both Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy.
Yesterday, a report from The Hollywood Reporter suggested that Levy is going to be the director behind a currently untitled global heist comedy film, the lead of which will be Ryan Reynolds. The movie recently became the property of Netflix following a reported huge, 7-figure bidding war.
Levy, who has previously collaborated with Reynolds on several other titles such as Free Guy, The Adam Project, and the much-anticipated Deadpool 3, will also produce the movie through his 21 Laps production banner. The currently untitled film is set to be produced by Reynolds and Simon Kinberg, with Cruella and The Lost City’s Dana Fox writing and producing the movie’s script.
Set to be an ensemble piece along the lines of Ocean’s Eleven, the movie was described as a completely original idea "set in the international arena." As per the latest reports, eight different buyers were interested in Levy’s movie before Netflix swooped in and took it.
For the currently untitled movie, Fox will get paid high 7 figures for its producing deals and mid 7 figures for its writing. This is Reynolds’ second latest project that’s currently being taken to the studios, with the other being Calamity Hustle, which is set to co-star Channing Tatum as well.

Many Marvel fans believe that the multiversal implications of Deadpool 3 have made the director quite an obvious choice to direct MCU’s Avengers: Secret Wars. Secret Wars is one of the two confirmed upcoming Avengers movies and is set to serve as the next big event in the MCU. It will be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Six along with other major titles such as Fantastic Four.
In a recent interview with ET Canada, Levy did somewhat address the possibility but hasn’t confirmed his involvement yet. Levy said, "I've read those rumors. And that's all I'm going to say." It looks like Levy is quite in demand with the latest projects, and the collaboration between him and Ryan Reynolds is becoming a fan favorite. We can’t wait to see what they both have cooking and how their upcoming movie is going to turn out!
