There were plenty of different suits in Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales to wear. It seems like the upcoming much-anticipated Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 game will also be continuing this trend, and fans will get a look at some of the game’s brand-new suits at the New York Comic Con.
As per Marvel’s official website, PlayStation’s booth at the show will also feature some exclusive reveals on Thursday, October 12. We aren’t quite sure about the number of suits that will be revealed at the show or the ones that fans can expect, but we do know that the reveal will be taking place from 4:30-4:45 p.m. ET. So, make sure to keep an eye out!
Spider-Man and his Many Many Suits
The classic red and blue suit is the one fans associate the most with Peter Parker, and it has been around for the longest time. However, there have been plenty of other suits that the web-slinger has worn across several movies, TV shows, video games, and comic books.
Many of Spider-Man’s top suits were featured in the original Marvel’s Spider-Man, along with some designs that were worn by other Spider-Men, such as Ben Reilly and Miguel O’Hara. It’s quite exciting to know that Insomniac Games has done its fair share of research and has more than 60 years' worth of Spider-Man content to take the suits from.
Regardless of this, several other options are still available that can become a part of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Amazing Spider-Man’s current run shows Peter Parker wearing a variation on his traditional design, with multiple modifications and changes inspired by Norman Osborn. There’s a high chance that this design might just end up getting introduced in the upcoming game.
In 2021, Miles Morales also received a brand-new suit design, designed by artist Chase Conley, for the character’s 10th anniversary. Unfortunately, that suit arrived a little too late for it to be featured in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, but now it looks like it might just end up getting added in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Release Date & Story
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023. The game was developed by Insomniac Games, in which players will see Peter Parker and Miles Morales go up against multiple iconic Spider-Man villains, such as Venom, the Lizard, and Kraven the Hunter. From what Sony and Marvel have shown so far, it seems like the game will provide its very own take on the original Venom saga, with Peter wearing the black costume at the start.
The costumes have some sort of negative effect on Peter’s personality, making him a lot more aggressive during his search for Kraven. Many speculations have also come up regarding the Venom story and how Miles will be a part of it. The original comics featuring the alien symbiote were released years before Miles Morales came into the picture, so that’s a huge difference players will see as compared to the other Spider-Man media.
