Before the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 towards the end of this month, Sony has launched a brand-new PlayStation 5 console bundle that’s going to include the much-anticipated sequel. At the start of September, Sony released a new special edition PlayStation that not only included a digital code for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 but also consisted of console faceplates that were linked to Spider-Man and a one-of-a-kind DualSense controller.
However, another console bundle similar to the first one has been released, regardless of it not having the same unique Spider-Man-related accessories. Sony announced the news on their official X account, claiming that they will be releasing a standard edition PS5 console with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on the same day as the release of the game on October 20.
They also offered a first look at the console by sharing a picture on their social media. In the past, Sony has launched similar bundles for other games, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarok, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
Sony hasn’t yet disclosed the cost of this Spider-Man 2 bundle, but considering that it’s similar to the other bundles that have been launched in the past, it should have a price tag of around $559.99. Even though it’s good to see that Sony is offering options to their prospective customers when it comes to purchasing a new console, players looking to get their hands on a PS5 at this point might just grab the special edition Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 console bundle.
Compared to the others, this package can be bought for $599.99, which also consists of the DualSense and Spider-Man 2 console covers, which alone cost $79.99 and $64.99, respectively, on their own. If you think you might need those items sometime sooner or later, then you should try getting your hands on the limited edition PlayStation 5 console bundle.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to launch in only a couple of weeks on Friday, October 20, 2023.
