What is Rebel Moon about?
The official synopsis of Rebel Moon on Netflix is as follows:
A peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy is threatened by the armies of a tyrannical regent named Balisarius. The desperate civilians dispatch Kora, a young woman who has a mysterious past to seek out warriors from nearby planets to help them challenge the regent.
Sofia Boutella stars Rebel Moon as Kora, the main heroine of the movie and she will be venturing to the nearest planets as she prepares to make a stand against Balisarius, the villain, played by Ed Skrein. The love interest of Kora will be played by Charlie Hunnam. Also in the cast are Anthony Hopkins as the voice of Jimmy, Ray Fisher as Blood Axe, Djimon Hounsou as General Titus, Fra Fee, Corey Stoll, Jena Malone, Ray Porter, Staz Nair, Doona Bae, Cary Elwes, Cleopatra Coleman, Stuart Martin, Alfonso Herrera, and Michael Huisman. Rebel Moon is divided into two parts so the first one is expected to have an open ending.
Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire comes out on Netflix on December 22, 2023. The trailer will be coming out on Sunday, November 12.
