Just after the end of Squid Game: The Challenge, Netflix announced a new reality series that will warn you not to put your trust in anyone. Titled The Trust: A Game of Greed, this one will be different from other realty competition shows as it will center on greed and mistrust. The streamer has already released its first trailer, explaining how things will go as the $250,000 cash prize will be given early to divide to each player equally. You can see the preview below:
Hosted by the journalist and TV host Brooke Baldwin, the preview begins with her explaining “The Trust,” which promises each of the 11 players an equal share of $250,000. She then reveals that each one can choose to share the money equally or vote people out to keep more for themselves. As everyone is already a winner with the money they have, Baldwin asks, “Will you keep it that way?” with their ability to kick others out.
From there, the preview introduces the professions of some players: a full-time rancher, a different kind of grandma, and a police officer. However, one contender stresses that the house is full of liars. The next scene shows the players reading the other contenders’ secrets, like sleeping with 150 people and someone who has become a millionaire at 21. The house also has a vault, where they will be offered $10,000 to kick out somebody, and two of them are already planning who to send home.

What is The Trust: A Game of Greed about?
Netflix describes The Trust: A Game of Greed as an atypical reality competition series. Here, no one will fight each other to get closer to the finals. Instead, everyone will be offered their winnings right from the start. However, the game will start with their next move and how they plan to divide the money. In this social experiment, their fates are in their own hands, and no one will come out as a winner or a loser.
You can read the synopsis below:
The Trust: A Game of Greed is said to be a combination of Alan Cumming’s The Traitor and Big Brother.
