Scott Pilgrim is back, but this time in anime form on Netflix. After the cult classic movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was released in 2010, its original cast members will return in the animated series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. And to give fans a glimpse of the characters’ chaotic energy, the streamer has now released its official trailer.
Scott Pilgrim started as a graphic novel by Canadian author and comic book artist Bryan Lee O’Malley. Its serialization began in 2004 in Oni Press and ended in 2010. In the same year, its live-action adaptation was released and instantly became a cult classic. An anime version is about to hit the small screens, animated by Science SARU.
The trailer begins with Kim Pine introducing their band, “We are Sex Bomb-Omb,” and starts a countdown. After the count, loud music plays, and several turns of events are seen, along with the revelation of the returning original cast members as voice actors and the people behind the show. The preview ends with the band looking exhausted after playing.
