Netflix has officially released the complete trailer for Adam Sandler’s popular animated movie titled Leo. In the movie, Sandler plays the role of a 74-year-old lizard known as Leo, who’s a beloved pet in a class full of a bunch of children. Sadly, Leo has only one year left of his life, and as soon as he finds that out, he tries his best to escape in order to live to the fullest and go on one last wild adventure.
However, he can’t do so since his entire class is present and is busy showing compassion for the reptile. What’s interesting is that Leo can actually talk to people, and when the kids find that out, they are absolutely freaked out by this piece of information. It seems like the role of Leo the Lizard was made for Adam Sandler, what with his hilarious nature and amazing skills.
In addition to Sandler, the cast of Leo also includes Jason Alexander, Bill Burr, Cecily Strong, and some more popular names from the comedy industry. You can watch the entire trailer for Leo below:

Sandler Reunited With His Old Pals For Leo
Robert Smigel is the mastermind behind Sandler’s animated movie, and as it turns out, he has also been working with the actor for many years now. The director is pretty excited to have reunited with his old friend for yet another Netflix movie. During an interview with The A.V. Club, Smigel discussed his friendship with Sandler.
He said, "Sandler and I bonded in a completely different way. Maybe it was because we're both from Jewish families that were very close knit, and so we sort of had a lot in common that way and laughed at the same kind of human things. That was sort of the genesis, but Adam's incredibly silly and nonsensical. He's very underrated just as a writer."
The director further said, "I like to say that he's my best friend in show business, but it's almost a farce because there are probably literally 15 people who feel the same way. He's just given me so much support, and he's had a really positive impact on my life personally as well as professionally."
This year has been going pretty great for Adam Sandler on Netflix, with his latest movie, You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, being his best-reviewed film on the platform so far. Not only the platform, but it was actually one of the comedian’s best-reviewed movies of his entire career. So, here’s to hoping that his upcoming movie Leo is nothing short of amazing, either!
Leo is set to launch on Netflix on November 21, 2023.
