Netflix’s My Demon K-Drama Release Date, Time & Everything You Need to Know

K-drama fans celebrate, as My Demon is coming to Netflix in November.

There’s a new K-drama coming to Netflix! Like other South Korean love stories that fans are fond of, this one will surely be an instant favorite, with Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang in the lead. Titled My Demon, this rom-com will feature a demon-like heiress and a real demon. Are they making you excited already? Here’s the release date and everything you need to know.

My Demon is one of the most highly anticipated K-drama series today. News about this new series emerged in January 2023, when reports claimed Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang were in talks to lead the show. Come April of the same year, production began. This one will surely be a must-see with Kim Jang Han (You Raise Me Up) and Choi Ah Il (Mr. Queen) at the helm.

What is My Demon about?

My Demon tells the story of Do Do Hee (Kim Yoo Jung), an heiress who has an evil-like attitude. As the daughter of the Mirae Group owner, she doesn’t trust anyone and becomes cold after learning all the ways of the world early. As she also doesn’t believe in love, she makes a contract to marry Jung Gu Won (Song Kang), a real demon who has lost his powers. However, things start to change for Do Do Hee after she finds herself falling in love with the devil.

But with her wealth, Do Do Hee is surrounded by a lot of enemies. So, it remains to be seen if Jung Gu Won is another foe or a savior, considering he agrees to the deal to regain his power.

Kim Yoo Jung will be playing Do Do Hee, the heiress to Mirae Group who doesn’t trust anyone and falls in love with a demon. As an outsider to Mirae Group, Do Do Hee learned the ways of the world early on and became cold. Cynical of love, she makes a contract with demon Jung Gu Won and experiences a change beyond one’s imagination. As a figure surrounded by enemies all around her, viewers are curious to find out if the demon that appears in front of her will be her savior (Gu Won also meaning “savior” in Korea) or a destroyer.

Who are the cast members of My Demon?

So far, there are only four cast members announced for My Demon. Aside from Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang, it will also feature Lee Sang Yi, whose role is yet to be revealed, and Lee Yoon Ji as Noh Soo An.

Talking about the series (via Soompi), Kim Yoo Jung describes her character as “charismatic” and reveals she finds the series’ story “interesting.” She also says that the show lets her reveal a different side of her that even she hasn’t seen yet. “Please spend the end of 2023 with My Demon,” she continues.

Alternatively, Song Kang shares his excitement about working on this new show. He even asks fans to wait for its release. “Please show lots of interest and anticipation as we are working hard to film and show a great project that lives up to expectations,” he adds.
