K-drama star Yoo Ah In is still in the middle of a big controversy after being questioned by the police for propofol use earlier this year. As this issue affects the actor’s several projects, including Netflix’s new show Goodbye Earth, the streamer clears the rumors about the series’ release schedule and issues a brief statement.

A media outlet revealed that Yoo Ah In’s new K-drama Goodbye Earth is in talks to be released in April 2024. Most of his scenes will allegedly be edited out to save the streaming giant from the issues the 37-year-old star faces.

However, it looks like there’s no truth to it, as a source from Netflix cleared to Naver (as translated by Soompi) that the series’ release schedule is yet to be determined until today. It’s still “temporarily postponed,” and the streaming giant will give further details about its release date as soon as it’s confirmed. “We appreciate the interest you have shown in Goodbye Earth,” the insider added.

The series was originally scheduled for release this year. However, Netflix announced in March that it was postponed due to the police investigation into Yoo Ah In’s illegal use of propofol. He also came out positive for the use of marijuana, cocaine, and ketamine.

With the continuous investigation into Yoo Ah In’s drug charges, it may still take a little while before fans finally see Goodbye Earth. We hope a series that seemingly looks good as this won’t be canned if the actor is found guilty.
