My Hero Academia is a popular manga series by Kōhei Horikoshi that explores the concept of hope, hard work, perseverance, and a positive attitude in overcoming challenges. The series showcases the transformative power of friendship and the impact of a kind heart on one’s life and those around them.

The sixth season of My Hero Academia concluded in Spring 2023, and it was one of the series’ finest installments. It has become the most widely recognized manga and anime globally, with six seasons, three accompanying films, and several OVAs. Fans have formed deep connections with Class 1-A heroes, particularly protagonist Izuku and other beloved characters like Todoroki, Bakugo, and All Might.

The anticipation for My Hero Academia Season 7 is palpable as it takes the story to unprecedented heights. Deku and his classmates are gearing up for their return to confront the evil forces led by All For One once more.

Fans had initially anticipated a lengthy wait for My Hero Academia’s seventh season following the sixth season’s conclusion in 2023. However, to the delight of fans, the official My Hero Academia anime X account confirmed Season 7 on March 25, 2023.

Season 6 of the anime adapted seven tankōbon volumes, covering chapters 329-399 of Kōhei Horikoshi’s original manga. As of now, the latest published My Hero Academia chapter is #396. This means the anime has caught up with the manga’s publication, making it uncertain whether the show will return to its usual schedule.

Historically, the show’s earlier seasons have premiered approximately 12 months after the previous season’s finale. For example, Season 5 ended in September 2021, and Season 6 began in October 2022. Given this pattern, our best estimate is that My Hero Academia Season 7 will likely be released in Spring 2024.

In anticipation of the seventh season, My Hero Academia has unveiled a new official poster featuring the introspective crime fighter Deku. The poster includes a short Japanese passage next to Deku, roughly translating to “Never walk alone,” with the confirmation that Season 7 is “coming” beneath it.

My Hero Academia Season 7 Plot

Season 7 of My Hero Academia will primarily revolve around Izuku, as it promises to be an exciting culmination in the ongoing battle for justice and power. We will get to see some thrilling confrontations between the heroes and villains.

Traditionally, each season has covered around five to six manga volumes. Anticipations are that Season 7 will adapt manga Volumes 33 to 38. However, we have yet to see whether or not this season will serve as the final season.

Season 6 ended with All For One breaking free from prison and amassing a group of nefarious individuals. In season seven, we can expect the introduction of the USA hero ‘Star and Stripe’ and her battle against All For One.

The upcoming season will likely delve into a storyline involving a Class 1A member betraying the heroes and resolving the ongoing Todoroki family conflict through a heated showdown between Dabi and Shoto. Additionally, it will mark the beginning of the endgame, with a significant conflict pitting beloved heroes against the combined forces of All For One and Shigaraki.

You can expect to meet new characters with unique quirks inspired by everyday occurrences in the new season. The creator, Horikoshi, explained that quirk ideas often stem from moments of inspiration, saying:

For example, with Gran Torino, I came up with his Quirk when I was taking a shower. I looked at the shower head and was like: ‘Oh, that would be cool… for something to come out of his feet.’ Like, have propellant coming out of them. So, that is how his Quirk was inspired.
