My Hero Academia has a big treat for fans. Before the seventh season comes, the anime announced the coming of a new OVA (original video animation) called Battle of Heroes. And to give fans a first look at this special, it drops new stills featuring Deku and the rest of the gang as they prepare to play a card game.
In September, the anime first announced its upcoming original episode with a key art featuring Todoroki, Katsugi, Deku, and the My Hero Academia girls, Ochaco, Sero, Asui, and Minoru. It also revealed the new OVA’s theme, a card battle with Class 1-A members, set during the winter vacation before the Endeavor Agency Arc.
Now, My Hero Academia drops the first stills for the new OVA, starting with Deku, Ochaco, Asui, Tenya, Koda Koji, and Mirio Togata, as they all look at something below. The next preview sees all the game cards neatly laid on the table, while the next features Bakugo in action as he’s ready to drop his blue card. For the last still, Kaminari looks enthusiastic in his black outfit.

What is My Hero Academia new OVA about?
My Hero Academia’s new OVA features Mirio Togata visiting the Class 1-A students during the winter vacation. As there’s no way that they can leave the dormitory, Togata brings a card game called Heroes Battle, made by the support department, to play. The Group A members quickly start the game. However, this one isn’t as easy as any other card game. The heroes must use their cards to see who can win the game.
