My Demon will finally be out in a couple of days, and to know about their characters’ future, Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung participate in a tarot card reading video. But while talking about the new K-drama and their roles, the two lead stars can’t help but lovingly look at each other and laugh together, showing their unique chemistry and sweet bond.
The video starts with Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang introducing their My Demon characters, Do Do Hee, a devil-like heiress, and Jung Gu Won, a real demon who has lost his powers. So, to know their characters’ fate, they read tarot cards. The Son of Netflix begins picking a card while the former child actress can’t help but laugh at him.
As he chooses The World card, the two begin to talk about the series’ premise, a rom-com drama where Do Hee and Gu Won are about to meet and enter a contract marriage. Kim Yoo Jung says it’s a story of two people saving each other while looking at Song Yang’s eyes.
Kim Yoo Jung then chooses the next card and picks herself, The Empress. Song Kang is then asked to tell the charming traits of Kim Yoo Jun. “[She] looks very chic, but inside, [she’s] very soft,” he says. “That kind of character, I found it very attractive in that respect.”
Song Kang then gets The Demon card and calls his character “very attractive,” making Kim Yoo Jung laugh. As he continues that Gu Won has 100% charm, his on-screen partner adds he has overflowing charm, a cute side, a cold character, and a picky but kind attitude.
What is My Demon about?
My Demon follows the story of Do Do Hee and Jung Gu Won. Do Hee is a company’s successor with a cold and arrogant attitude. She doesn’t trust anyone and is cynical about love. However, things will change when she meets Gu Won and enters a contract marriage with him.
Alternatively, Gu Won is a real demon who has been given a chance to live forever by making dangerous but tempting deals with humans. He has been on earth for about 200 years, living like an apex predator belittling people. However, when he meets Do Hee, he suddenly loses his powers and enters a contract marriage with her. To avoid his own death, he needs to protect Do Hee, which will eventually lead to developing feelings for her.
