Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 was offiically announced, but fans will have to wait for more details about its highly-anticipated return.

Following the premiere of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 24 (season finale), the production team has officially announced that the popular isekai anime has been renewed for a third season. Details about Season 3's premiere date and other details will be revealed at a later date.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 was announced in a 15-second announcement teaser that was released on Sunday. The third season is expected to pick up where Season 2 left, and it'll likely start adapting Volume 14 of the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation light novel series by Rifujin na Maganote. Mushoku Tensei Season 2 broadcasted in two split cours with 12 episodes each. The first coar aired in Japan from July 3, 2023 to September 25, 2025, while Cour 2 aired from April 8 to July 1, 2024. The second cour adapted The Labyrinth Arc of Rifujin na Maganote's light novel series, and Crunchyroll streamed the series worldwide, along with the previous seasons.

Studio Bind produced the animation with animation of the second season, with Ryosuke Shibuya (The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World) as director, Toshiya Ono as series screenwriter, Sanae Shimada and Yoshiko Saito as character designers, Masakazu Miyake as art director, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa as music composer.

What is Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation about?

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is based on the popular isekai light novel series written Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka. The isekai fantasy series began in 2014 and concluded in November 2022 with 26 volumes. It also inspired a manga adaptation and multiple spin-offs. The first volume of the light novel sversion of the Dasoku-hen spin-off was released in June 2023.

Seven Seas Entertainment shared a plot description for the series:

Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes.
