Update: Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 21 is now streaming on Crunchyroll.

The Labyrinth Arc of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation recently kicked off, and the previous episode showed Rudeus, Paul, Elinalise, and the rest of their party begin their mission to rescue Zenith inside the trap-filled labyrinth. It was also revealed that Rudy's former magic tutor, Roxy Migurdia, is alive but struggling to survive the labyrinth's overwhelming threats. Rudy just showed up just in time to rescue her, and Roxy looked glad to finally be reunited with him after years apart.

The official website of the anime has revealed preview stills and a synopsis for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 21, titled Magic Circle to the Sixth Stratum, and it looks like Rudy and Roxy will have a moment to talk as they recover, before returning to the teleport labyrinth to resume their mission to rescue Zenith. It looks like things won't get easier for the party as they head deeper into the labyrinth's Sixth Layer. The trailer for the Labyrinth Arc already teased that they will be battling a bigger threat, so we can expect that to happen soon.

What is Labyrinth Arc of Mushoku Tensei about?

The Labyrinth Arc (迷宮編 Meikyū-hen) is expected to adapt the final chapters of Volume 11 and most likely the entire Volume 12 of the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation light novel series written Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka. Seven Seas Entertainment shared an official synopsis for Vol. 12:

Rudeus and Paul must descend into the deadly depths of a Teleportation Labyrinth to rescue Zenith. The father-son duo makes short work of deadly beasts and ancient magical traps, but it's the terrible truth at the Labyrinth's heart that proves the greatest threat of all. What happens when all hope is shattered beyond recall?
