Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is getting ready to begin the second cour of the anime's second season. The first cour premiered last year, and aired for 12 episodes from July to September 2023, and the isekai series is expected to continue the adventures of Rudeus Greyrat, Sylphiette, and friends this Spring anime season. Now, we finally have an exact premiere date, thanks to a new promo the production team recently shared: April 7, 2024. Along with the announcement, a promotional video, in which Rudy can be heard stating his intention to marry Syphie, was released.

Who is the new director of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation?
The description of the new Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation video reveals that Ryousuke Shibuya (The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World) is directing Season 2 Cour 2, marking the second directional change for the anime series (The first season was directed by Onimai‘s Shingo Fujii, and Season 1 assistant director Hiroki Hirano directed Season 2 Cour 1).
As for the returning staff: Toshiya Oono will be the series composer once again while Sanae Shimada and Yoshiko Saitou (Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible) are in charge of the character designs. The art director of the anime is Masakazu Miyake, and the music composer is Yoshiaki Fujisawa.
What is Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation anime about?
Studio Bind is producing the anime adaptation of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2, which is based on the popular isekai light novel series written Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka. The series began in 2014 and concluded in November 2022 with 26 volumes. It also inspired a manga adaptation and multiple spin-offs. The first volume of the light novel sversion of the Dasoku-hen spin-off was released in June 2023. Seven Seas Entertainment shared a plot description for the series:
Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He’s going to make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!
