After the success of DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story in 2022, Netflix officially announced the coming of Monster Season 2, centering on the murder case of the Menéndez brothers. Originally a limited series, the streamer turned it into an anthology series, with the second season titled Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story. The service has finally revealed the stars who will play Lyle and Erik’s parents: Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Netflix revealed that Bardem and Sevigny would join Cooper Koch and Nicholas Chavez in Monster Season 2. The two will play the roles of Jose and Kitty Menéndez, while Koch and Chavez will portray Lyle and Erik Menéndez, respectively.
Of course, the series creators Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan will return to once again feature a high-profile case that shook the world in the 1990s. Lyle and Erik killed their parents in 1989, and the events that surrounded the brutal murders would play out on the small screen.

What is Monster Season 2 about?
Monster Season 2 will follow the story of Lyle and Erik Menéndez after they killed their parents in their home in Beverly Hills in 1989. During their trials, the brothers claimed they committed the murders due to the fear that their father would kill them after threatening him that they would expose his years of sexual, emotional, and physical abuse. However, the prosecution argued they did it to get their father’s fortune.
