A new spy family is about to conquer the small screens when the Mission: Yozakura Family anime adaptation finally comes out. Based on the manga series by Hitsuji Gondara, Silver Link, the anime’s studio, is now gearing up for the series’ release, as the anime has now released its new character designs and additional cast members.
The anime’s official website has unveiled the cast information for the main characters of Mission: Yozakura Family. It starts with Kazuyuki Okitsu as Shinzo Yozakura, a weapon specialist and Yozakura family’s second son. Next is Yuuki Aoi as Shion Yozakura, the second daughter and a hacking genius and gamer. It also includes Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Kengo Yozakura, the third son and the master of disguise.
In addition, Yumi Uchiyama joins the series as Nanao Yozakura, the fourth son and a medicine and pharmacy specialist. Lastly, Yoshitsugu also voices Goriate, the family’s pet dog, who’s highly intelligent, can understand human language, and helps the family with their missions.

Who are the other cast members of Mission: Yozakura Family?
Aside from the mentioned additional cast above, other cast members include Reiji Kawashima as Taiyo Asano, the series’ protagonist and Mustumi’s spy husband, and Kaedo Hondo as Mutsumi Yozakura, the main heroine and Taiyo’s wife.
Moreover, Akari Kito can be heard as Futaba Yozakura, another Yozakura family sibling who’s caring and motherly despite being violent and strict. Lastly, Katsuyuki Konishi can be seen as Kyoichiro Yozakura, the eldest sibling overprotective of Mutsumi.
What is Mission: Yozakura Family about?
Mission: Yozakura Family follows the story of Taiyo Asao, who has lost his family in a car crash. He has a childhood friend, Mutsumi Yozakura, who happens to be the only comfort he has in life. However, things are about to change when he learns his teacher is not only Mutsumi’s brother, Kyoichiro, but she also comes from a family of spies. As a fight within the family ensues, Taiyo needs to be Mutsumi’s husband to protect her and be a spy himself.

Mission: Yozakura Family is scheduled for release in 2024. This seems to give Spy x Family feels, so let’s see if this new anime can surpass or even match Tatsuya Endo’s masterpiece.
