
Netflix has released a new trailer for its upcoming South Korean action-comedy movie, Mission: Cross. The film, which stars Hwang Jung-min and Yum Jung-ah, features a stay-at-home husband and his law enforcement officer wife becoming entangled in a high-stakes case. The trailer shows a sneak peek at Kang-mu's reluctant return to the world of espionage and Mi-seon’s relentless pursuit of justice. We can expect them to often cross paths in unexpected and hilarious ways, and as you can see in the trailer below, their thrilling adventure will be full of explosions and humorous banter.
In addition to the explosive trailer, Netflix revealed that Mission: Cross will be released on August 7, 2024 on its platform. The action-comedy film was directed by Lee Myung-hoon and produced by Han Jae-deok. Obra Creative is the production company behind the movie. What is Mission: Cross about?
Mission: Cross features the story of Kang-mu, a former agent who now leads a peaceful life as a house husband, concealing his past from his wife. His spouse, Mi-seon, is described to be a veteran officer in the Major Crimes Investigation Division, known for her prowess as the “Hunter of Major Crimes.” When Kang-mu is unexpectedly drawn back into the world of espionage while helping a former colleague, Hee-ju, search for her missing husband, Mi-seon misunderstood his actions as infidelity, triggering a chain of high-stakes adventure and misunderstandings.
Who are the cast of Mission: Cross?
Hwang Jung-min, Yeom Jung-ah, and Jeon Hye-jin are confirmed to be the three lead cast of Mission: Cross.
Hwang Jung-min is playing Park Kang-moo. He previously played Jeon Yo-hwan in Netflix's crime K-drama Narco-Saints. He also had a minor role in the action film Kill Bok Soon.
Yeom Jung-ah is playing Kang Mi-sun. Mission: Cross will mark as her debut in a Netflix title. She previously starred in Korean dramas such as Cleaning Up, Legend of Ambition, SKY Castle, and Alienoid.
Jeon Hye-jin is playing Jang Hee-joo. She starred in Season 2 of Netflix's Stranger. Outside of the streaming platform, she is known for her roles in Korean dramas such as Not Others, Uncle, and WWW.
