Netflix’s K-content is on a roll this June 2024. The recently released Hierarchy now dominates the streamer’s Top 10 non-English TV list, sitting at No. 2 with 3.5 million views. Now, Netflix is gearing up to release its newest romantic comedy K-drama, Miss Night and Day. To prepare viewers for a different journey, it drops the series’ highlights clip, showing Apink’s Jung Eun-ji transform into a 50-year-old Lee Jung-eun, who has a mysterious identity.
You can watch the Miss Night and Day highlights clip below:
The clip begins with a woman seemingly drowning in a deep sea before enigmatic music plays and takes viewers to the city of Seohan. Eun-ji looks in horror as her hands slowly age. She then mysteriously transforms into Jung-eun while being recorded through a smartphone. Jung-eun can’t help but scream as she sees her 50-year-old self in the mirror.
Unable to understand what’s happening to her, she goes to the police to report the incident, stressing that she’s in her 20s and was born in 1996. She tries to prove her youth by dancing in front of the officer but gets mocked by being told she looks like she was born in 1969, inciting her to slap the man. Jung-eun later realizes that her looks change every time the sun rises and sets. Her best friend, Kim Ah-young, suggests that she may be cursed.
The scene then shifts to the young Eun-ji working hard and feeling sorry for herself if she can’t find a decent job when she gets into her 30s. However, her dream job looks far-fetched after her old self starts working as a cleaner.
Here, she meets Choi Jin-hyuk. Though she finds him kind after helping her catch a scammer, Jin-hyuk transforms when he starts working as a prosecutor. As someone who can’t stand anyone interfering in his life, Jin-hyuk is a social misfit. Jung-eun starts working with Jin-hyuk and proves herself a legendary intern for being experienced, motivated, and ambitious. From there, Eun-ji can finally have the chance to land her dream job.
However, Jin-hyuk starts doubting Jung-eun as he often sees Eun-ji where Jung-eun is. Baek Seo-hoo learns that Jung-eun was missing 20 years ago, while an offender from the past shows up again. As the image of Eun-ji is already dead, Eun-ji’s life becomes in danger.
