Mashle: Magic and Muscles - The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc (Season 2) officially started airing earlier this month, and four episodes have been released so far. Now, the official website of the anime has shared preview stills, synopsis, and staff information for Episode 17 (Season 2, Episode 5), which is scheduled to premiere on February 3, 2024.
Update: Mashle Season 2, Episode 5 is now streaming on Crunchyroll. The episode title has been updated from the rough English translation.
The title of Mashle: Magic and Muscles Season 2 Episode 5 is Finn Ames and the Friend, and the upcoming episode will see Mash Burnedead and his teammates, Finn and Dot, take on the next challenge of the Divine Visionary Candidate Exam, and it looks like we will see Finn Ames get his moment to shine as he is about to encounter a dangerous member of the Orca dormitory. The official synopsis for Mashle: Magic and Muscles Season 2 Episode 5 reads:
Mash and his friends who successfully passed the first qualifying round will take on the "Crystal of Life'' team competition, in which the 9 people who passed were divided into 3 groups. The rules are simple: Teams compete against each other to break crystals, but two of Mash, Dot, and Finn, who are on the same team, end up breaking the crystals that are distributed before the game starts. Only one crystal remains, but the three people are placed apart at the start. Then, Finn encounters Carpaccio Royan from the Orca dormitory...

What is Mashle: Magic and Muscles Season 2 about?
Mashle: Magic and Muscles anime is based on Hajime Komoto's Mashle manga series, which has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from January 2020 and recently ended in July 2023. The shonen series has a total of 162 chapters, and there are currently 16 volumes to date. Season 2 is adapting the Divine Visionary Selection Exam Arc, which is the fourth arc of the manga that picks up at Chapter 44. A-1 Pictures is animating the new season.
The arc is expected to introduce the 'Prefect' system of Easton Magic Academy, and it's expected to center on the Divine Visionary Selection Exam, which is used to find the student that will become the newest member of the Divine Visionaries. The title of Divine Missionary is given to an exceptional student amongst one of the 3 magic schools, revered as one of God's chosen once every year. As the core of Bureau of Magic, they are considered to be some of the most influential sorcerers of the country.

New episodes of Mashle: Magic and Muscles Season 2 are being released weekly on Crunchyroll, and Episode 17 (Season 2 Episode 5) is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, February 3. We can expect the second season to have a total of 12 episodes, so that means we can expect 8 more new episodes to arrive in the Winter 2024 anime season.
