Seeing how successful both Spider-Man 1 and Spider-Man: Miles Morales were, Insomniac Games has decided to build up on that success. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will continue ten months after the events of Spider-Man: Miles Morales takes place, continuing the exciting adventures of both the web-slingers, Miles Morales and Peter Parker.
The Spider-Men will face a large number of evil villains, from the Lizard to Kraven the Hunter; the game is going to be a wild ride for players. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is, so far, one of the most anticipated games of the year. Players have been jumping on any piece of information regarding the game, and now we know its confirmed character list, aside from Peter and Miles, of course!
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Confirmed Characters
Peter Parker/Spider-Man: Peter Parker will make a comeback as the main character in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The web-slinger will be seen wearing a brand-new black spidey suit, owing to the Venom symbiote, which gives him some powerful abilities and also brings forth his darker side.
Miles Morales/Spider-Man: In this video game, Miles will join Peter on his mission to protect the city of New York while also trying his best to grow as a superhero. With his special powers of bioelectric abilities and camouflage, Miles is prepared to fight against his foes.
Mary Jane Watson (MJ): Mary Jane is an investigative reporter who is in a relationship with Peter Parker and might even play a huge role in the side missions.
Venom: The alien symbiote has become quite popular among players since they found out he will be in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. This iconic character will be one of the game’s main villains and will bring destruction to New York City with its rage.
Kraven the Hunter: Kraven the Hunter will play the role of the secondary main villain in Spider-Man 2. The hunter hunts for the Spider-Men to put an end to them and continue his reign of tyranny, making him one of the most vicious threats.
Lizard: Dr. Curt Connors, also known as Lizard, is also one of Kraven’s targets because of his extraordinary powers and abilities.
Prowler: Aaron Davis, Miles’ uncle, catches up to the web-slinger in order to help him in his development as a superhero.
Grizzly: Maxwell Markham, famously known as Grizzly, is the most recent addition to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Grizzly is a member of Kraven’s team and helps him search for superpowered individuals.
Norman Osborn: Things are about to get a whole lot darker, as Norman has returned in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 as the mayor of New York.
Harry Osborn: Parker’s best friend, Harry Osborn, has also been introduced in the game and will play a crucial role in the game’s story. There’s a chance he might become the human host for the alien symbiote.
Wraith: Marvel’s Spider-Man will also feature Yuri Watanabe as the Wraith, whose powers remain a mystery.
Shocker: Shocker is a member of the Sinister Six, a group of supervillains, to get a taste of the action in Spider-Man 2.
J. Jonah Jameson: J. Jonah Jameson is the editor-in-chief of Daily Bugle, who is determined to wage war against the superheroes.
Mister Negative: Martin Li, also known as Mister Negative, makes an appearance in the game, but his role remains a mystery.
Ganke Lee: The famous tech expert and Miles’ best friend, Ganke Lee, will join Peter’s team in Spider-Man 2.
Black Cat: After faking her death, players will see Felicia Hardy’s return in the video game to play a major role.
Rio Morales: Another member of Miles’ family returns. This time, it's his mother, who is now a member of the City Council and is trying her best to adjust to her son’s superhero mission.
Tombstone: After being imprisoned for a long time, the bike leader Tombstone makes an entry into the game.
Taskmaster: The extremely skilled fighter, Taskmaster is here to challenge Peter Parker with his epic skills in Spider-Man 2.
So far, these are all the confirmed characters that will be appearing in the upcoming Spider-Man 2 game. However, Insomniac Games might decide to add more characters further down the line. Those are some quite interesting characters, and we can't wait to see how they play out their role in the game and bring the story to life.
