One of the main antagonists of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is going to be Kraven the Hunter, who will prove to be quite a threat to the two Spider-Men. Apart from the web slingers, the hunter is determined to hunt down and capture the city’s most dangerous super-powered heroes and villains. Many targets became available for Kraven to hunt after the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man, with the chance of even more characters being added for him to track down.
Sony released a trailer specifically for Kraven, showing the hunter as he tracks down and targets a lot of these characters. Not only this, but he had also marked their locations on the map of New York City, which was also featured in the trailer. Although a lot of the information regarding the story of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is unknown, Kraven’s presence as one of the main villains allows the game to follow one of the multiple traditional storylines from his comic book appearances.
Arcs such as Kraven’s First Hunt and Hunted might inspire the villain’s story in the upcoming game, giving the hunter plenty of room to evolve into a real threat. With plenty of targets already present on his list and the presence of Venom at a certain point in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Kraven will face a real challenge hunting the super-powered heroes in the game.

Even though a lot of Kraven’s targets are villains, Kraven’s hunt for Miles and Peter draws them into a fight against the antagonist. In the gameplay trailer that Sony released during the PlayStation Showcase 2023 in May, Peter and Miles must prevent the hunter from taking down the Lizard, also known as Dr. Connors, whom Peter needs in order to cure Harry Osborn. Kraven has plenty of targets to go after in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, even with the introduction of Venom in the game. The game will also introduce some new villains that were not present in the last two games.
