In the 2018 Marvel’s Spider-Man, Peter and MJ seemed to be having some troubles in their relationship, but by the game’s end, they decided to stick with each other.
Peter Parker and Mary Jane are among the most famous and adorable comic book couples, with their relationship coming over to TV, film, and video game adaptations. Although Peter has several romantic partners in different storylines of the comics, the character’s relationship with MJ is still at the top for many fans. It was also mentioned that, in the 2018 game, Black Cat was also Peter’s love interest at some point.
With their relationship carrying over to Marvel's Spider-Man 2, a fan with a keen eye has highlighted an adorable detail about the two characters, which can be seen in the game’s latest story trailer. A Reddit user known as Massive-Ad3457 pointed out that the story trailer shows a scene in which Peter and MJ introduce Harry Osborn to Miles Morales. In that scene, the couple are wearing matching outfits, i.e., blue jeans and a brown jacket over a white t-shirt.
Even though the scene was shown briefly during Spider-Man 2’s story trailer, players are going crazy over this adorable detail. Many fans also appreciate that the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will carry on with Peter and MJ’s adorable relationship.
Although the gaming community loves this detail, several fans were upset about MJ’s character model featured in the trailer and claimed that Insomniac Games had changed it. However, the developers quickly denied all claims about the character being recast in the game. They also confirmed that MJ has the same voice actress and character model as she used to in the previous games. Insomniac further stated that the difference might be more prominent because of MJ’s brand-new hairstyle and improved face-scanning tech.
