On Monday, Marvel Entertainment unveiled a sneak peek for this definitive guide, which comprehensively expounds on the lore, timelines, and characters of the MCU, thereby providing answers to the most pressing inquiries regarding the occurrences, timing, and locations of events.
The trailer for the upcoming book, which you can watch below, shows us a preview of how the guide breaks down the beat-by-beat happenings of the epic franchise from the very beginning of time all the way to the latest events from Marvel's Phases 4 and 5.
"So much has happened in our films and series. That's why it's so exciting to have The Marvel Cinematic Universe: An Official Timeline," says Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.
In the video, Marvel Studios executive Brad Winderbaum emphasized the historic nature of the new guide, saying, "It's the first time we are officially laying out the timeline. It's incredible once it's all layed out how inter-connected and how sealess it actually is."
The 344-page book, co-authored by Anthony Breznican, Rebecca Theodore-Vachon, and Amy Ratcliffe, meticulously dissects "every moment" spanning the 15-year history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, commencing from the 2008 release of Iron Man and culminating with the forthcoming second season of Disney+'s Loki.
"Every bit of history that's mentioned is taken out of the films, out of the TV shows, and laid out end-to-end," explains Breznican. Theodore-Vachon added: "There's a lot of story in the MCU. It's very complex, very interconnected. We covered so many storylines, so many characters, so many different worlds. This book has everything."
