The popular actor Ke Huy Quan, who played the role of Ouroboros in the second season of the Disney+ series Loki, has officially crossed another massive thing from his to-do list. The actor is also a part of another exciting Disney+ series movie called Indiana Jones, and now it looks like he might have his sights set on landing a role in Disney’s other big franchise, i.e., Star Wars.

In an interview with Collider, Quan admitted to the fact that he was really excited to play a role in the MCU and has admired the franchise as a fan for a long time. However, after he was reunited with his Indiana Jones family while campaigning for his Academy-winning performance as Waymond in Everything, Everywhere, All at Once, he ended up befriending the President of Lucasfilm, the studio behind another major franchise under Disney+, Star Wars. Quan said:

I love the MCU. You know, I was able to connect with my Indiana Jones family during the award season. And, as you know, Kathleen Kennedy was the producer. And she's the head of Lucasfilm now. I did go up to her and I said, 'Kathy, I would love to join the Star Wars family.' That's another wish list of mine. But honestly, I've been very lucky. I've been very lucky.

He continued to share his experience where he saw a family of four dressed up for Halloween as Short Round, Data (Quan’s character from The Goonies), Waymond, and Ouroboros. He claimed that the whole picture of seeing his fans dressed up warmed his heart and shared that it brings him joy when “the characters that I play resonate with the audience.” You can read his entire response below:

This past Halloween, I was able to see a fan — it was a family of four, and they went on Halloween as Short Round, Data [his character from The Goonies ], Waymond, and Ouroboros. I saw that picture, and it warmed my heart. I'm so happy when it resonates when the characters that I play resonate with the audience. So, who knows? I mean, you know, I haven't been at this for a long time, even though I've been in the business for a long time. But I feel like this time around, I'm quite new to this. So I want to be able to play a lot of different characters. And hopefully, you know, yeah.

What are Ke Huy Quan’s future filming plans?

Ke Huy Quan further explained that for him, Disney was a “family” and expressed how happy he was that he got to be part of the crowd from a really young age. He also stated that he would love to continue being a part of it as long as his performances will be remembered. However, that did not put a halt to his plans of trying his best to join the massive and most popular movie franchise in movie history. Quan said:

I was shameless when I saw Kathy! I went up to give her a big hug. And I said, "Kathy, Kathy, please put me in the Star Wars universe!" And what's so great about it, if you think about it, it's all under the Disney family, you know? So, I was lucky to be Short Round, which is also Disney. And, now MCU, and, you know, I want to stay in the family. It's great.
