The latest episode of Loki Season 2 finally introduced viewers to Victor Timely, a new Kang Variant who is expected to play an important role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But is it possible that the new character just retconned the story of another Marvel hero? 1893 just dropped an Easter Egg which might be connected to Iron Man!
Marvel fans have a knack for scrutinizing every tiny detail within the MCU, searching for clues, and examining props and background elements for hidden significance. Loki Season 2 viewers are no exception, and one astute observer may have uncovered a notable device within the MCU, shedding light on the intellectual prowess of Kang variant Victor Timely.
A Reddit user noticed an intriguing item on Victor Timely's lab table in Wisconsin. Positioned on the left side, it bears an uncanny resemblance to Kang's temporal loom display, though it strikingly resembles the iconic arc reactor used to power Tony Stark's heart and the Iron Man suits, a technology developed over a century later.
This is certainly a surprise considering that Howard Stark played a role in the construction of the arc reactor, which was later perfected by his son Tony. Nevertheless, it raises the intriguing possibility that Victor Timely could have created this technology long before their time. As another Reddit user pointed out, this discovery might even link to another Kang variant: Iron Lad, who famously utilized Iron Man's armor.
It's a wild thought considering that this threatens to change Tony Stark's story. But while this theory is undoubtedly intriguing and not entirely implausible, it remains a topic of debate. On one hand, it presents a compelling connection that could generate significant energy within the MCU's narrative, yet on the other hand, it's conceivable that the resemblance is purely coincidental and not indicative of a deeper connection. With that in mind, it is best to take this with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, Marvel fans will undoubtedly continue their vigilance for more clues and secrets that could unravel the complex web of the MCU's interconnected universe.
For now, it is unclear if we truly got our first glimpse at the future arc reactor or if it's just the back part of the Loom. In the meantime, the third episode of Loki is titled 1893 and is now available for streaming on Disney+.
