Netflix has revealed the first teaser trailer and poster for Dead-End Job, offering an early look at the series led by Lee Jae-wook. The materials frame a part-time offer that pays far beyond an ordinary wage and hint that the work comes with a cost no flyer mentions. The reveal arrives ahead of the streamer’s October premiere and sets the story inside workplaces that only look familiar at first glance.
Dead-End Job is a mystery-horror fantasy drama built around debt, secrecy, and a job that refuses to stay normal. Hyeok Jun (Lee Jae-wook) is a young man drowning in bills who answers a strange flyer from Spyder Human Resource Center, an agency offering 50 times the usual hourly wage. He accepts a night shift that appears to be an ordinary convenience-store posting, then learns that every completed assignment can raise the pay while bringing him closer to something that wants him dead.
The new teaser opens with Hyeok Jun walking into a shabby staffing office as a last resort. Kang Jun (Lee Hee-joon), the head of the agency, meets his hesitation with a cryptic pitch and insists there is no sweeter gig available. The footage then cuts to a dark convenience store, where moths swarm the aisles and a sinister clown crosses Hyeok Jun’s path, and each ordeal ends with the promise of still higher daily pay.
Netflix Korea shared the teaser poster, which drops Hyeok Jun onto the floor of a wrecked convenience store under cold fluorescent light. He sits bloodied and exhausted among spilled snacks, overturned shelves, a blue crate, and shattered cooler glass, while moths drift through the wreckage. Yellow title lettering asks whether anyone will accept the sweet gig, and the artwork guarantees 50 times the minimum wage beside an October 30 release date only on Netflix.
What is Dead-End Job about?
Netflix shared a synopsis for Dead-End Job that spells out the bargain at the center of the series. The description presents the posting as a perfect part-time job that turns nightmarish as soon as the shift begins. It also names Spyder Human Resource Center as the agency behind the offer.
Hyuk-jun, a young man who takes on a seemingly perfect part-time job offering 50 times the usual hourly wage through a mysterious employment agency called Spyder Human Resource Center. However, the job quickly becomes a nightmare as he encounters strange and terrifying phenomena.
Who are the cast of Dead-End Job?
Lee Jae-wook leads the series as Byeon Hyeok Jun, the worker who keeps returning for a wage that climbs with every successful shift. He has already headlined Netflix projects including Extraordinary You, Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, and both seasons of Alchemy of Souls. He is also starring in the lead role of the Netflix series Dear Hongrang.
Yeon-ju (Go Min-si) is an investigator determined to uncover the truth behind the unsettling events at Spyder Human Resource Center. The actress previously starred in Netflix series including Sweet Home, The Frog, Live, and Love Alarm. She is also set to appear in Tastefully Yours.
Byeon Ji-yun (Kim Min-ha) is Hyeok Jun’s spirited younger sister, and she lives by the motto that poverty is scarier than ghosts. Kim Min-ha has played leading roles in Way Back Love, Light Shop, Pachinko, and Not Alright, But It’s Alright. Her character watches her brother’s anxiety deepen and follows the trail into the same agency that hired him.
Kang Jun (played by Lee Hee-joon), also known as Mr. S, runs Spyder Human Resource Center and is the one who sells the impossible hourly rate. Lee Hee-joon has appeared in the Netflix series Karma, A Killer Paradox, and Vincenzo, as well as the films Bogota: City of the Lost and Badland Hunters. On screen, his character keeps the single rule of the job deliberately vague while pushing Hyeok Jun toward the next assignment.
Kim Da-min directs Dead-End Job and brings a fresh directorial vision to the series after writing the Netflix series A Killer Paradox. Series creator Han Jun-hee, whose credits include D.P. and Weak Hero Class 2, leads the overall creative development. Lee Jae-wook leads the ensemble, with Go Min-si, Kim Min-ha, and Lee Hee-joon joining him in the principal cast.
Dead-End Job premieres on Netflix on October 30, 2026. The eight-episode series lands on the streamer as a closed mystery about wages that rise only when the work turns lethal. The October date places the convenience-store horror just ahead of Halloween.
