Kaiju No. 8 Episode 10 Preview Shows a Bloody Hoshina

Soshiro Hoshina’s fight against an intelligent kaiju, now called Kaiju No. 10, is far from over. The vice-captain has unleashed his incredible powers and abilities to defeat the gigantic humanoid. But the monster mutates into a much larger form before he can even land his final blow. Though it remains to be seen what will happen next, the preview for Kaiju No. 8 Episode 10, titled Exposure, shows a bloody Hoshina, hinting at a much more intense battle.

The anime’s official website has released the preview for Kaiju No. 8 Episode 10. It starts with Hoshina looking very little as Kaiju No. 10 takes a gigantic form. But despite being hit by the monster several times, Hoshina promises to fulfill his duty. Kafka Hibino is seen running, seemingly coming to Hoshina’s rescue.

Kikoru Shinomiya and Reno Ichikawa still work together to fight the other monsters, while the former launches a massive attack. Hashino once again takes the scene and seems to lose consciousness after being beaten by Kaiju No. 10. But before he falls to the ground, Mina Ashiro appears and is ready to join the fight with her weapon targeting the gigantic beast.

Alternatively, the stills from Kaiju No. 8 Episode 10 show Kaiju No. 10 unleashing a massive blow as its battle against Hoshina continues. A young Hoshina is also revealed, hinting at the vice-captain's backstory. A young Mina is also seen, and it looks like there will be a major flashback from when she was just a Defense Force member newbie.

Kafka is sweaty as he seems to try to help Hoshina fight the beast. Kikoru looks exhausted and sits on the ground with another Defense Force member, who looks like Reno, by her side. For the last still, Hoshina seems determined to defeat the monster, though his face is already bleeding.

What to Expect from Kaiju No. 8 Episode 10

Kaiju No. 8 Episode 10 will continue Hoshina’s fight against Kaiju No. 10. The new Defense Force members will manage to hold back the other monsters, but the gigantic monster’s attack will intensify. Hoshina will continue his attack despite being at a disadvantage due to the difference in size, but he will eventually reach his limit. In a moment of despair, Hoshina will remember Mina’s words.

While the new recruits demonstrate the results of their training and somehow manage to hold back the pterosaur-type monsters, the attacks of the gigantic "Monster No. 10" become even more intense! Hoshina continues to attack steadily, adapting to the changes in the enemy, but finally reaches his limit. At that moment, the words of Mina, who recognized his swordsmanship and entrusted his back to him, came to Hoshina's mind.

 

The anime is based on Naoya Matsumoto’s manga of the same title, which has been serialized since 2020. As of April 2024, it has collected 12 tankobon volumes and has over 13 million copies in circulation. Production I.G produced its anime adaptation, premiering in April 2024 and releasing nine episodes.
